The 2022 Hollywoodbets COSAFA Champions, the Copper Queens have arrived in Zambia after a spectacular outing in South Africa.
Coach Bruce Mwape’s charges beat South Africa 1-0 on Sunday afternoon to claim their first COSAFA trophy after years of trying.
The team arrived at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 12:25hrs aboard South African Airways.
The COSAFA Champions were welcomed by the National Sports Council of Zambia Acting General Secretary Raphael Mulenga, who represented Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu.
FAZ President Andrew Kamanga who was represented by Owens Buntele says FAZ believes in the team and has surety that the Copper Queens will make Zambia proud again.
Meanwhile, Coach Bruce Mwape has thanked the government, FAZ, and supporters for the warm welcome and the support that was rendered to his team.
