CORRECTIONAL AND MILITARY OFFICERS ARRESTED OVER OBSCENE VIDEO SCANDA

In a shocking turn of events, two serving security officers a correctional officer and a military staff sergeant have been arrested for producing and circulating obscene material in violation of the Penal Code.

Zambia Police say 33-year-old Katundu Lumweka, a Sergeant from the Zambia Correctional Service based in Kabwe’s Bwacha Compound, and 31-year-old Rhoda Njovu, a Staff Sergeant of the Zambia National Service residing in Lusaka’s Roma area, were apprehended following investigations that revealed the duo jointly recorded an explicit video.

The footage was later circulated via WhatsApp to one of their contacts, triggering swift police action.

Police Public Relations Officer Hamoonga says both suspects have been formally charged, with Lumweka facing one count of producing obscene materials, while Njovu faces an additional charge for circulating the content.

The duo are currently in custody awaiting the possibility of being granted police bond.

Police have since reminded the public that the production, possession, or distribution of obscene content remains a serious criminal offense under Zambian law punishable by law and warned that anyone involved in such activities will face stern consequences.
