Some Teachers on the Copperbelt Province have stormed the Copperbelt Provincial Education Office questioning why they have not been put on payroll since 2020.
The teachers who were seeking an audience with the Provincial Education Officer say depsite being in employment for almost two years, they have been languishing in poverty.
They have told Diamond News that their deployment was done through placements between 2020 and 2021.
They say storming the Provincial office was the only solution left as they are tired of uncertainties surrounding their deployment and issues to do with their payroll.
The teachers are currently waiting to have a meeting with the Provincial Education Officer who is in Luanshya for another meeting.
