Zambia National Women’s Team have commenced their preparations for the double header friendly against Colombia on November 12 and 15 in Cali.
Last week, Coach Bruce Mwape named a 32 provisional member squad that includes the likes of Ireen Lungu and 2022 Women Push Award winner Evarine Susan Katongo among others.
Speaking after Monday’s morning training session at Nkoloma stadium, Mwape says high profile friendlies will help the team prepare adequately for next year’s world cup.
Striker Prisca Mulenga says the girls will have to prove themselves in the double header friendly.
Midfielder Evarine Susan Katongo says the morale and competition in camp is high as each player is looking forward to being named in the squad for the World Cup.
