Zambia Women’s National Team Coach, Bruce Mwape, is optimistic that local players will add value to his team ahead of Zambia’s two friendly games against South Korea.

Mwape says the local charges have shown character to compete for key places in the national team ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, a four-member team from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inspected selected facilities at Nkoloma and Heroes Stadium in Lusaka ahead of Zambia’s bid to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The inspectors will proceed to the Copperbelt on April 1, 2023 for another round of inspections, as
Zambia joins three other bidders to host Africa ‘s football showpiece.

Other bidders for the 2025 AFCON are Morocco, Algeria as well as a joint bid by West African nations Nigeria and Benin.
