Republican President Hakainde Hichilema has described as malicious the assertions that money amounting to over 65 million seized from Lusaka woman, Faith Musonda, was misappropriated by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
Speaking at the official commissioning of the new INDO – Zambia Bank Headquarters in Lusaka, the President says the money moved from the Anti-Corruption Commission to the Bank of Zambia.
He says from there it was applied to students who would desperately need bursaries.
Recently, an Auditor General’s management letter leaked exposing the Anti-Corruption Commission’s alleged irregularities for the financial year ending December 31, 2022.
In the letter, it has been revealed that Faith Musonda’s forfeited cash amounting to K66 million and has not been deposited into Control 99 and missing.
