A Veterinary post-mortem report on the chicken, which was abused by a 28-year-old Malawian National in Chipangali District in Eastern Province, has revealed that the chicken had cuts on the anus and female reproduction organs.
Dr. Martha Sinzala, a Veterinarian tells Diamond News that findings reveal that there was a lot of bleeding in the bird’s digestive tract system, which led to its death.
On 21st March 2023, a 28-year-old Malawian was caught abusing a chicken in Chipangali.
Zandonda Phiri caught Chibande Phiri of Tsapila Village in Chief Mnukwa in the act around 04:30hrs.
Phiri was later arrested and charged with the offence of Bestiality.
According to Section 155 CAP 87 of the Laws of Zambia, any person who has carnal knowledge of an animal is guilty of a felony and is liable to a 14-year imprisonment.
