Republican President Hakainde Hichilema is among over 40 heads of state that attended the summit of Forum on China Africa Cooperation FOCAC in Beijing, China.
At the summit, Chinese President Xi Jingpin pledged 51 billion support to Africa, as part of his fresh financing to the continent.
Speaking during the official opening of the Summit of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation FOCAC in Beijing, China, Mr. Xi also promised to create about 1 million jobs in Africa.
And the African leaders that spoke at the summit included South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa, Senegalese’s Bassirou Diamaye Faye and Tanzanian’s Samia Suluhu Hassan among others.
This year’s FOCAC summit is under the theme: Joining hands to promote modernisation and building a high level China Africa Community with a shared future.
