Brian Mundubile Faces PF Disciplinary Charges Over Gross Indiscipline

.

The Patriotic Front (PF) has formally charged Mporokoso Member of Parliament and Central Committee Member Brian Mundubile with gross indiscipline, citing multiple alleged violations of the party’s 2007 constitution and regulations.

In a detailed charge letter dated 10th January 2026, PF Acting Deputy Secretary General for Administration, Celestin Mukandila, says the senior party member has fallen short of the high fiduciary duty expected of a Central Committee member and Member of Parliament.

Mr. Mukandila states that the party leadership was compelled to act following what it describes as a pattern of conduct by Mundubile that has allegedly undermined party unity, weakened internal discipline, and brought the party’s authority into disrepute.

Among the charges are claims that Mr. Mundubile made unsubstantiated public accusations on social media suggesting that the party leadership was plotting to expel him and block his participation in intra-party elections, accusations the PF says are false and damaging to the party’s image.

The Acting Deputy Secretary General further alleges that under Mundubile’s watch, his campaign team has been promoting division by creating parallel party structures, contrary to established party organs and procedures.

.

He also accuses the lawmaker of deliberately flouting party protocol by attending an unauthorized Tonse Alliance meeting without clearance from the party president and the acting deputy secretaries general, as well as continuing to recognize individuals who were dismissed from their positions by the party president.

According to Mr. Mukandila, these actions amount to serious misconduct that threatens organizational order and discipline within the party.

He has since directed Mr. Mundubile to submit a written exculpatory statement to the PF Disciplinary Committee within seven days, warning that failure to respond will be treated as acceptance of the charges, after which the party will render a decision in line with its constitutional and disciplinary procedures.
