The Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Brasilia has urged Brazil’s top manufacturer of agricultural equipment, AGCO to consider extending its investment into Zambia.
Speaking after a factory tour in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Chargé d’ Affaires at the Embassy of Zambia in Brazil, Coillard Muvwema says prowess of the company in the global market is crucial for the mechanization agenda of Zambia’s agricultural sector.
Mr. Muvwema adds that Zambia is strategically positioned on the continent to become an agricultural hub and food basket for the region.
Meanwhile, AGCO South America Government Relations Specialist Francisco Garcia Reberti commended the strides made by the Zambian government towards ensuring food security.
Mr. Reberti added that the company is ready to work with the Embassy of Zambia in Brasilia for possible partnerships aimed at enhancing the agricultural equipment market.
