ANNUAL INFLATION RISES TO 11.2%

.

Annual inflation has increased to 11.2 percent in December 2025 from 10.9 percent in November, according to the Zambia Statistics Agency.

The rise has been mainly driven by higher prices of non-food items.

ZamStats Acting Statistician General Sheila Mudenda says prices of goods and services were, on average, 11.2 percent higher between December 2024 and December 2025.

Meanwhile, food inflation has continued to slow, falling to 12.9 percent in December from 13.9 percent in November.
