.

Zambia’s Annual Inflation Rate has dropped from 16.5 percent to 15.3 percent in May 2025, the highest in over 11 months.

Zambia Statistics Agency Acting Statistician General Chola Daka has attributed the reduction to movement in both food and non food items.

Mrs. Daka says price reduction has been noted in food items such as Mealie-meal, Milk, Fruits, Eggs and sweet potatoes.

She further says a reduction in non food items was recorded in the purchase of motor vehicles, passenger transport, and fuel.
