Renowned Pan Africanist Professor Patrick Lumumba says as long as African countries continue to operate in isolation, the continent will never get a permanent seat at the United Nations.

Professor Lumumba says there is need to re-assess the position of the continent and seek the amendment of fundamental documents of the UN so that Africa’s political and economic weight is felt globally.

And commenting on the just ended Kenyan election Professor Lumumba says everything has gone back to normal as if they was no election, stating the four commissioners who recused themselves from the results were misguided.

He was speaking upon arrival at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport ahead of a series of events in Lusaka.
