ADJOURNED JUDGMENT IN LIVINGSTONE MAYOR CASE SET FOR TODAY

The Livingstone Magistrate Court is today expected to deliver judgment in a rescheduled matter involving Livingstone Mayor Constance Muleabai.

The judgment has been adjourned three times so far, twice due to logistical challenges that prevented the court from travelling from Lusaka, and once after the accused fell ill.

Ms. Muleabai is accused of soliciting K120,000.00 and obtaining k180,000 cash gratification from Mark Gabites a core owner at Zam Nuka Farm Limited to cancel the company’s property rates at the Livingstone City Council, which had accumulated to over k388,000.

The matter is being handled by Lusaka Magistrate Trevor Kasanda.

11 witnesses testified during the trial, while the accused denied all charges during her defence.
