A 40-year-old woman of Chipata Compound in Lusaka has turned her incomplete house into a dumpsite.
Ms. Maria Bwalya charges neighbors K5 each to dump garbage at her house which has now become a health hazard, not just for her but her neighbors too.
She is appealing to well-wishers to help her raise capital to start a business.
Diamond News visited Maria Bwalya who narrates that she started collecting garbage at a fee with the view to raise money to enable her to start a business.
Ms. Bwalya however says the garbage collection business did not go well when reports reached authorities in the area who notified her that the business was illegal.
