The United Party for National Development (UPND) structures in Nalolo District have enthusiastically welcomed the recent decision by the Party of National Unity and Progress (PNUP) to form a strategic alliance with them. Local UPND leaders and members describe this collaboration as a natural reflection of the people’s will, emphasizing that it aligns with the aspirations of the Nalolo community.
According to UPND representatives in the district, the alliance is viewed as a logical and timely move, especially considering the overwhelming support PNUP’s candidate, Imanga Wamunyima, received during the 2021 general elections. Wamunyima’s popularity in the region demonstrated the strong connection between the two parties’ ideals and the electorate’s desires.
Party officials believe that this partnership will not only enhance political unity but also serve as a catalyst for meaningful development across Nalolo constituency. They are confident that the combined strengths of UPND and PNUP will foster better governance, increased resource mobilization, and targeted development initiatives that address the pressing needs of the local population.
Community members and political analysts alike have expressed optimism about the alliance, suggesting that the collaborative efforts could lead to significant socio-economic improvements, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and agricultural support. UPND leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with PNUP to ensure that the alliance translates into tangible benefits for the people of Nalolo.
As the political landscape evolves, both parties have pledged to uphold transparency, inclusivity, and accountability, ensuring that the voices of the people remain central to their joint agenda.
