15-YEAR-OLD GIRL TIED, DEFILED IN CHIPATA

A 15-year-old girl from Nabvutika Township in Chipata in eastern Zambia has recounted a horrific ordeal of being defiled by a man believed to be in his 50s.

The minor told Diamond News that the incident occurred when the suspect asked her to accompany him to his charcoal production site in the hills of Nabvutika, where he also engages in farming activities.

According to the victim, since her household had no charcoal, she agreed to go with him.

However, to her shock, the man dragged her into a nearby bush, tied her hands, and sexually assaulted her.

The man is on the run and a man hunt has been launched.
