Several young boys in Lusaka’s Shalom area have been expelled from school after undergoing a bizarre tattooing ritual, performed by a 13-year-old boy, in an attempt to gain alleged supernatural powers and attract girls.

The affected students have been ostracized by their peers due to cultural beliefs surrounding tattoos. Parents of the affected children have expressed deep concern, with one mother revealing that her son is traumatized by the incident. Other parents have reported that their children are experiencing sleepless nights due to the ordeal.

The 13-year-old tattoo artist was recently arrested by the police for allegedly tattooing over ten boys in the area. He claimed that the tattoos would enlarge their private parts, attract girls, and enhance their fighting abilities, similar to snakes.

This disturbing incident highlights the dangers of superstition and the need for education and awareness to combat such practices. It also raises concerns about the vulnerability of young people and the importance of parental guidance in protecting children from harmful influences.
