Government has urged the Copper Queens to remain focused as they go to the final of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA 2022 women’s Championship.
Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Permanent Secretary Mr. Kangwa Chileshe said the Government will support the team all the time.
Speaking when he met the girls after they qualified to the final following a 2-1 win over Tanzania, Mr. Chileshe said the team is as strong and capable of beating South Africa in the final to lift the coveted prize.
Zambia will face South Africa on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in the finals to be played at Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa
Meanwhile, Zambia’s Acting High Commissioner to South Africa Inonge Mwenya congratulated the Copper Queens and encouraged them to remain positive.
Ms. Mwenya told the players to keep believing in themselves and continue with the winning mentality.
