World’s most expensive female player Rachael Kundananji has described the Copper Queens 6-5 loss against Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games is more than a heartbreak.

Kundananji, who scored a brace in the game, says giving up a 5-2 lead which would have guaranteed maximum points is so painful.

Speaking on behalf of the team, the Bay FC striker has, however, taken responsibility saying the technical bench did their job as the tactics taught helped the girls score many goals which, unfortunately, weren’t enough due to loss of concentration by the players.

Going into their next game against Germany on 31st July, she says the team will need to work on their defense to avoid repeating the mistakes which cost them in the game against the Matildas.
