President Hakainde Hichilema’s Special Assistant for Economic Affairs, Jito Kayumba says the government is putting in place several measures to address the power crisis that the country is experiencing.

Appearing on Diamond TV’s COSTA, Mr. Kayumba says the government is focusing on the development of two paths in addressing the power crisis, which include the usage of solar energy that will not be affected by lack of water and wind power Projects.

Mr. Kayumba says this is besides boosting the conventional hydro power capacity and Power Purchase Supply agreements signed by the government with different Investors as an immediate approach.
