A woman of Malozi-Malozi area in Sinazongwe district of Southern Province has narrated how her deaf and dumb, grade eight son, was allegedly sodomized by his teacher at Maamba Special Boarding and Secondary School.
The mother, who has demanded for justice, says she only learnt of the story a few weeks ago when her fellow parents disclosed to her that her son had been sodomised by the named teacher.
The named teacher is believed to be on anti-retroviral drugs.
She adds that when she made a follow up with the school management, a meeting was held where her son and his friend were also present and both testified in sign language that their teacher entered the dorm, began kissing the victim and later had sex with him through the anus.
And the victim’s mother has also disclosed that the school headteacher had recently called to inform her that the suspect is threatening to kill himself if the issue goes to court.
And Southern Province Police Commanding officer, Auxensio Daka has confirmed the incident to Diamond News, adding that a docket has since been opened regarding the matter.
