The Football Association of Zambia has contested the ruling of the World’s football governing body FIFA to pay $1.1 million to former Chipolopolo Head Coach Aljosa Asanovic.
This follows a complaint filed by Asanovic for wrongful dismissal from his Chipolopolo job in September, 2022.
FAZ General Secretary Reuben Kamanga says the Zambian FA has since engaged FIFA on its position, stating that the gaffer was dismissed because of his absence from work and his performance-based contract.
He has further disclosed that FAZ has submitted a record of the Asanovic’s dues, attaching all necessary evidence of payment till the time he left his position.
