Mixed Martial Arts Zambia has selected 15 fighters to represent the country at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) Africa Championship to be held in Luanda, Angola, the first to be hosted outside South Africa.

The athletes selected, who are yet to be revealed by the federation, will be accompanied by 5 officials including a representative from the Ministry of Sports following a personal invite being extended in order to strengthen the sporting relationship between the two countries.

The seventh edition of the IMMAF African Championship, which will run from 14th to 17th September, 2023, will see participation of over 19 countries.

The association has further appealed for sponsorship from the corporate sector in order to cover the accommodation and travel costs of the team.
