An Investigation to determine the cause of a fire which damaged property of an office at Livingstone’s renowned Mosi-oa-Tunya Building has been instituted.

Last night, a room within the building caught fire destroying stationary.

The fire was contained by a combined team of the Fire Brigade department and the Zambia Air Force fire department.

NAPSA Head of Corporate Affairs Cephas Sinyangwe who confirmed the development in a statement, says the fire has not affected any NAPSA documents, but localized the incident to room 309 of the Eastern Wing.

Meanwhile, Diamond News visited the scene and found stationary equipment burnt to ashes.

Alport Banda, the tenant accounts that he has no clue on the cause of the fire, saying all his equipment were intact by close of business.

He has equally not accounted the value of items lost.

The authority has barricaded the Eastern Wing to allow for independent investigations into what could have caused the fire.
