The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has adjusted downwards the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene for the month of June.
Board Chairperson Reynolds Bowa says petrol has been revised by 3.14 kwacha from K27.59 ngwee to K24.45 while diesel goes down by 2.77 ngwee from K24.64 ngwee to K21.87 ngwee.
Mr. Bowa adds that decision was arrived at owing to the decline in oil prices on the international market despite the kwacha averaging K18.47 ngwee per US Dollar.
He adds that the oil prices on the international market outweighed the depreciation of the kwacha in May, 2023 hence the downward revision.
