Police in Zambia’s capital city Lusaka have apprehended 167 people suspected to be behind a spate of attacks and robberies in different parts of the city.
In a statement, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale says of the arrested, 21 had been eluding the police dragnet.
Mr. Mwale says the 21 who have been on the police wanted list have since been charged with the offence of aggravated robbery.
Among them is Kelvin Kapanga aged 27 of Lusaka Garden House area who is believed to have been among a gang of 30 others who attacked and robbed a named man of Kanyama compound on April 17, 2023.
