Government has approved 667 Community projects at a cost of K590 million in the first quarter of 2023 under the 2023 Constituency Development Fund-CDF approved budget.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Garry Nkombo says government has further provided secondary school boarding fees to 14, 600 pupils at a total cost of K37 million.

Mr. Nkombo adds that 19,500 youths have been empowered with skills development bursaries at a cost of K177 Million.

Following the increase of CDF in 2023 to K28.3 million, the Ministry of Finance and National Planning has released a total K1.1 billion towards the 2023 CDF allocation.
