Home Affairs Minister, Jack Mwiimbu, says one suspect in the abduction of Pamela Chisumpa and 12 other women attempted to escape from Mwembeshi Correctional facility but sustained injuries after jumping off a wall fence.
Mr. Mwiimbu has told parliament in a ministerial statement that all the suspects in the case are still in custody of the correctional facility.
Mr. Mwiimbu has disclosed that the only case of prison break recorded at the correctional facility involves three convicts of stock theft and aggravated robbery.
He says two convicts were captured in Linda Compound, while another convict of aggravated robbery is still at large.
