The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has seized over K588 Million money reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime from various suspects.
DEC Public Relations Officer, Hussein Khan, says the aforementioned money was seized through the Commission’s operational activities conducted in 2022.
Mr. Khan has also disclosed that the Commission had a total of K1.3 million and 148,000 dollars forfeited to the state in five cases concluded by the courts of law.
Other properties seized includes 108 motor vehicles and 72 real estate properties.
