The Patriotic Front (PF) has slapped with a six-week suspension on Matero Member of Parliament, Miles Sampa, from the Central Committee.
Speaking during a press briefing, acting president Given Lubinda says the decision was arrived at due to Mr. Sampa’s recent media briefing which the party feels is in bad taste.
Mr. Sampa, who is among the nine aspiring candidates for the party presidency has been excluded from attending any meeting of the PF that includes caucuses of Members of Parliament.
Meanwhile, Mr Lubinda has said the party will only proceed to the long awaited elective extra-ordinary conference after it concludes refining its constitution.
Repeated efforts to contact the Matero Lawmaker failed by broadcast time as his mobile phone went unanswered and was later switched off.
