Suspected United Party of National Development youths have locked up the management office at Valley View Market in Lusaka’s Mtendere, in a bid to take control of the leadership.
Traders have told Diamond News that the cadres are demanding a monthly contribution of K2, 000 from the market revenue.
A UPND party official found at the scene, Moses Chiinza however says the behavior is against the position of the party to end cadreism in markets and bus stations.
