She was welcomed by acting finance minister, Felix Mutati.
During her stay in the country, Ms. Georgieva will meet President Hakainde Hichilema, Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane and Bank of Zambia Governor, Denny Kalyalya, to discuss Zambia’s progress following the IMF credit facility which the country qualified for last year.
She is also expected to get updates on how Zambia is making progress in restructuring its debt since it received the $1.3 billion IMF bailout in August last year.
