The FAZ Appeals Committee has upheld the Disciplinary Committee’s K20, 000 fine and six months ban slapped on Nkana striker Alex Ng’onga for misconduct.
Ng’onga was handed a six months ban by the disciplinary committee for his behaviour during a Week 14 Super League match between Nkana and Power Dynamos on 11 December, 2022, where he kicked a SuperSport microphone and angrily tore his shirt.
The Nkana forward appealed against the decision but has not been successful, which rules him out of action for the remainder of the 2022/23 season of the MTN Super League.
Meanwhile, FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala has thanked the Appeals Committee for the speedy dispensation of justice.
This is according to a statement released by the Football Association of Zambia.
