Retired FIFA Referee Janny Sikazwe has blown his final whistle in an MTN Super League match played at the National Heroes Stadium on Saturday, 7 January, 2023.

Sikazwe, who announced his retirement last month after officiating at the 2022 FIFA World Cup got a guard of honor from players and fellow officials as he stepped into the stadium to officiate the match between Napsa Stars Football Club and Red Arrows Football Club.

The match saw Napsa Stars’ FC start their second round of the 2022/23 season of the MTN Super League on a high note, beating defending champions Red Arrows FC 3-1.

The victory has taken Napsa Stars to ninth position with 24 points while Red Arrows has dropped to sixth position from fourth, remaining with 27 points on the league standings
