A business man in Mufulira District in the Copperbelt Province says the resurgence of load shedding will kill small businesses that fully depend on electricity.

Emmanuel Muma, who runs a welding shop fears that load shedding will worsen the impact on small businesses that are already struggling with high fuel pump prices.

Mr. Muma told Diamond News that since the reinstatement of load shedding his income has reduced to K30 per day.

He adds that government should not prioritise exporting electricity at the expense of Zambians who are grappling with the high cost of living.
