The Mobile Money Business Association says it is engaging key stakeholders such as the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Agency (ZICTA) among others to curb digital financial fraud.
Association President Pamfred Hasweeka says if not addressed digital fraud can erode the gains made by stakeholders to advance financial inclusion.
Mr Hasweeka adds that there is need to enhance regulation that will ensure consumer protection and guarantee safety for mobile money agents.
According to the FinScope Survey of 2020, Zambia’s overall financial inclusion of adult population increased from 59.3 percent to 69.4 percent in 2020.
