National Democratic Congress Party Leader Saboi Imboela is spending her second night in detention at Kabwata Police Station.
Ms. Imbolea was charged and arrested for Criminal Libel, following a complaint from Mr. Clayson Hamasaka in which it is alleged that the NDC leader issued defamatory remarks against Mr. Hamasaka on her Facebook page.
Various stakeholders have however condemned the detention of the NDC Leader, with PF member Kawana Mwangala describing it as intimidation of the opposition.
And the Zambia National Women’s Lobby has also urged police to take the matter to court without delay.
