President Hakainde Hichilema says Zambian has been seating on its talent for too long and it is time it embraced and showcased its artistic ability.
Speaking when he officiated at the movie premiere of ‘Can They See Us’, President Hichilema says art can contribute to the development of Zambia’s Gross Domestic Product.
President Hichilema adds that art is as important as any other profession in the world, and has since pledged his full support in marketing the industry.
And Filmmakers Guild of Zambia, President Lawrence Thompson has appealed to the government to consider setting up a film commission to attract international collaboration and investment.
