President Hakainde Hichilema is expected to officially open the First Session of the Fourteenth National Assembly on October 9, 2026, at Parliament Buildings in Lusaka.
In a statement, Clerk of the National Assembly Loveness Mayaka says President Hichilema will deliver an address outlining the Government’s policy direction and priorities for 2026.
Ms Mayaka says Members of Parliament will debate the policy pronouncements contained in the Presidential Address.
This will be President Hichilema’s first address to the National Assembly since his re-election on August 13, 2026.
