An aspiring independent candidate in the Mkushi Local Government By-election Felix Chisanga has failed to meet requirements to successfully file in his nomination.
Apart from presenting an unverified grade 12 certificate before ECZ officials, Mr. Chisanga also had a shortfall of seven (7) supporters.
Returning Officer Emmanuel Lukupwa has given him until 15 hours to present the requirements.
Mr. Chisanga has however told Diamond News that he will be able to meet all requirements before the close of nomination period.
