A 34 year old garden boy has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Lusaka High Court for the murder of his employers, a Lusaka West couple.
Godfrey Phiri was found guilty of murdering Bernard Chomba and his wife, Bwalya Chileshe, between November 19 and 22, 2022.
The court heard that the killings were allegedly motivated by unpaid wages after the accused claimed he had gone three months without receiving his salary.
The victims’ decomposing bodies were discovered about 30 metres from their residence after they had been reported missing for three days.
