GRADE 11 PUPIL BURNS FAMILY HOUSES AND PROPERTIES IN PEMBA DISTRICT

.

A Grade 11 pupil of Pemba District in Maramba area of Chief Mooyo has allegedly burnt several houses, chickens, clothes, maize, and other property within the village.

According to the suspect’s father, Jupiter Madubansi, his son identified as Shadreck arrived home around 21:00 to 22:00 hours. The father explained that the boy, who is the fifth-born child in the family, asked for a phone before he could eat. When the father gave him a touch phone, he reportedly refused it, grabbed another phone, and went outside.

It is alleged that Shadreck later burnt chickens, chairs, and houses within the same village. The father further revealed that the boy had previously been chased from Kaamba Secondary School because of his behavior. He also suspects that his son could be involved in drug abuse.

The suspect’s uncle also complained that several of his properties, including chickens, chairs, were burnt to ashes together with their mother’s house. He added that he suspects the suspect burnt the property after becoming upset when he was questioned about K140 that allegedly went missing from his grandmother’s phone.

Police are yet to provide more details on the matter.
