Miracle Impact church overseer Bishop John General has been found with a case to answer on a charge of Rape.
The cleric is accused of sexually assaulting his female married congregant in her matrimonial home where he was invited to offer her prayers for her childlessness, contrary to sections 132 and 133 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
The allegations are that on November 22nd, 2023, the clergyman, while in Lusaka, had unlawful carnal knowledge of the married woman at her house between 13:00hrs and 14:00hrs where he was caught red handed by husband to the compliant but managed to escape by jumping over the wall fence.
When the matter came up before magistrate Army Masoja Chilangwa she found him with a case to answer and placed him on his defense.
However, his lawyers have sought for an adjournment to prepare him for his defense.
Bishop John General will open his defense on the 21st of April 2026.
