One person has died while four others are in a critical condition and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Levy Mwanawasa Hospital following a road accident at Manda Hill area in Lusaka.
Ten other people have been reported to have sustained various injuries in the accident.
Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital Head of Public Relations, Nancy Malitoli has confirmed the development to Diamond News, stating that the victims were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Preliminary information indicates that the 15 victims were travelling in a bus from Mulungushi International Conference Centre when the vehicle veered off the road, overturned, and plunged into a large drainage channel.
The bus was heading west after an event held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka.
