DIESEL SHORTAGE DELAYS BUS DEPARTURES AT INTERCITY TERMINUS

.

Transporters operating at the Lusaka intercity bus terminus have raised concern over the ongoing diesel shortage, saying it is negatively affecting their businesses.

In an interview with Diamond News, drivers from Kobil Coaches and power tools have revealed that several buses are delaying departures as they have to travel to nearby towns such as Kafue and Lusaka West access the commodity.

The transporters have since called on government to urgently address the shortage, stressing that transportation is the backbone of the economy and prolonged disruptions could impact trade and mobility across the country.
