Netball Zambia has expelled the executive committee of the Midlands Netball Association (MINA), barring its members from participating in any netball related activities in the country following a resolution adopted at its Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The decision was reached during the AGM held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the NAPSA Sports Complex. The meeting brought together councillors from various structures of the federation and was chaired by Vice President for Projects and Events, Paulina Miansa.
According to the federation, the expulsion follows an earlier suspension of the MINA executive for failing to comply with repeated directives to submit management accounts for 2024 and the first quarter of 2025. Despite several formal requests, the required financial documents were not provided, raising concerns over accountability and adherence to constitutional obligations.
Netball Zambia has also disclosed that additional issues relating to the conduct of some Midlands officials have emerged and have since been referred to relevant investigative agencies for further action.
In its resolution, the council has emphasized that the expelled executive is prohibited from taking part in or conducting any netball activities under the federation’s jurisdiction. The governing body has further directed all affiliated structures to strictly comply with the constitutional framework guiding the sport.
Meanwhile, clubs under the Midlands Netball Association have been advised to prepare for fresh elections aimed at reconstituting leadership and restoring normal operations in the region.
