DELIMITATION IN CHILUBI CONSTITUENCY LONG OVERDUE – MP

.

Patriotic Front PF Chilubi Member of Parliament Mulenga Francis Fube has urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to consider delimiting his constituency, stating that the process is long overdue.

Speaking during the submission of the Chilubi District delimitation report in Kasama on Monday, March 16, 2026, Mr. Fube said the constituency has waited for a long time to be delimited.

Mr. Fube was elected as Member of Parliament in 2020 under the ticket of the then ruling Patriotic Front (PF) party.

He is also among the opposition Members of Parliament who opposed the constitutional amendment process of Bill No. 7 of 2025, which has since become law and gave rise to the delimitation process.

The process seeks to create 70 new constituencies across the country.

Chilubi District has proposed the creation of a new constituency to be named Lubumbu.

In the video footage below, Mr. Fube explains his stance on Bill 7 and the delimitation process.
