The Zambia Correctional Service has called on families to remember their loved ones serving time in correctional facilities this Valentine’s Day.
In a Facebook post, the Service has shared a message titled “Happy Valentine’s Day From Your Loved Ones In Our Care,” reminding the public that love goes beyond prison walls.
The institution says love knows no barbed wires or walls and encouraged families to let hope rise above separation.
It has urged relatives to make time for visits, stressing that reintegration begins with compassion and that strong family bonds help communities grow stronger.
The Service has concluded by stating that together, society can break the cycle — not the bond.
