
The Ministry of Health has begun rolling out cholera vaccinations in high-risk areas of Lusaka as part of efforts to curb the spread of the disease.
Minister of Health Elijah Muchima says that in the last 24 hours, Lusaka recorded one new cholera case from Chainda, while 24 patients were discharged from treatment centres.
He notes that the identified high-risk areas include Mtendere, Chelstone, Kalingalinga, Chipata Compound and Kanyama.
Meanwhile, the Minister has announced the newly appointed members of the Mental Health Council board, with Sylvester Katontoka named as Board Chairperson.
